Lucie Haylett was born in Surrey in 1970. She studied at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, graduating in 1999 with a B.A. Honours Degree in Three Dimensional Design in Metals.
Her work is inspired by landscapes, weather worn objects, the seasons, colours and textures. Her pieces are mostly abstract and incorporate driftwood and metal. She also makes beaded jewellery.
She has exhibited in the Open House Exhibitions during the Brighton Festival each May, as well as shops, café’s and pubs in Brighton. Most recently, her work has been shown at the Big Blue Sky gallery in Wells-Next-The-Sea.
